Glauconycteris
There are 2 species known from Tanzania: Glauconycteris argentata and Glauconycteris variegata. The butterfly bats are characterized by the very short snout and hooked tragi. Look for a golden stripe where the wing inserts on the body of Glauconycteris argentata and a reticulated pattern on the wing and tail membranes of Glauconycteris variegata.
