Tragelaphus
There are 4 species recorded in Tanzania: Tragelaphus strepsiceros (the greater kudu; a female is shown to the right), Tragelaphus imberbis (the lesser kudu), Tragelaphus scriptus(the bushbuck) and Tragelaphus spekii (the sitatunga). These graceful antelope all have white markings on the sides and/or the chest and curved horns (found only on males).
