Mus
There are 7 species recorded in Tanzania: Mus minutoides, Mus musculoides, Mus musculus, Mus neavi, Mus sorella, Mus tenellus and Mus triton. This genus is familiar to people all over the world. Look for the notch in the back of the tip of the upper incisor and the short tail relative to the body.
