Type Locality
'Seecov River' and 'Akter Brunties hoogte', now restricted to South Africa, Eastern Cape Prov., Uitenhage district, Sunday River, Algoa Bay.

Description
The flattened nature of the horn as it comes off the skull help to differentiate this bovid from the domestic cow.
