Distribution

Paraxerus lucifer is sparsely distributed through numerous isolated montane forests stretching along an arc from Lake Nyasa to the Udzungwas, Ulugurus, Usambaras and ending in Mount Kilimanjaro. (Kingdon, 1984, 1997)
