Soldier Field is hosting a Chicago Bears game on Saturday, August 15 at 12:00 pm.&nbsp;Parking on the Museum campus will not be available to Museum visitors. Public transportation is highly recommended. Parking is available off Museum Campus at McCormick Place or Millennium Park garages.

Staff Holiday Party--Early closure

The Museum will close early on Wednesday, December 16, at 3:00pm (last admission at 2:00pm). Last admission to Pokémon Fossil Museum will be at 2:15pm.

Staff Wellness Closure

The Field Museum will be closed on Thursday, October 8, 2026 for a Staff Wellness Day. We are encouraging our staff to take the time to focus on their own well-being with activities that refresh and rejuvenate them.

The Museum will re-open to the public for regular hours on October 9 at 9am.

Christmas closure 2026

The Museum will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Friday, December 25. We will re-open Saturday, December 26 at 9am.

Thanksgiving closure 2026

The Museum will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 26. We will re-open Friday, November 27 at 9am.

Christmas eve 2026--early closure

The Field Museum will close early on Thursday, December 24 at 3pm (last entry at 2pm). Last admission to Pokémon Fossil Museum will be at 2:15pm.

Gala early closure

On Saturday, October 17, the Museum will close early at 3pm, with last admission at 2pm, in preparation for a special event. Last admission to Pokémon Fossil Museum will be at 2:15pm.

Summer party early closure--Hours override

On Wednesday, August 12, the Museum will close early at 3:00pm (last entry 2:00pm).
